Jonathan Randall Caldwell's Obituary
Jonathan Randall Caldwell was born October 25, 1978, and passed on to be with the Lord on April 5, 2025. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Broussard and Father, Troy Caldwell; daughter, Kyndall Caldwell; his sisters, Tania Burgess, Gwin Fuentes, and Alexis Caldwell; Step-Brother Ty Weeks; brother-in-law, Jeremy Burgess and Chico Fuentes; nieces Marlana Caldwell and Isabella Fuentes. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Troy R. Caldwell and George A. Gillespie; grandmothers, Dorothy Caldwell and Maurice Gillespie and many other family members.
Jonathan is remembered having lived a simple life, not a materialistic man. He loved greatly everyone he met in this life. He loved living life in the wilderness God created to be enjoyed, not destroyed. He never met a stranger. He was always the center of the crowd, bringing life and laughter anywhere he went. He enjoyed loving the “apple of his eye and heart, his daughter, Kyndall. He enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting and traveling the country with his daughter. Jonathan served as a High-Level Security Detail Commissioned through the Texas Department of Public Safety for more than 16 years and picked up the skill trade as a “welder” and “apprentice electrician.” He was a hard worker, dedicated to providing for his family.
He lived his life to protect his peace and joy in the special relationship he had gained with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He often attended REIMAGE CHURCH and REVIVE in Longview Texas. In the recent time of his life, Jonathan had stated, “There’s just some trips you must take alone, no family or friends, just YOU AND GOD.” The morning of Jonathan’s passing, he took his last trip with his heavenly father in the presence of his loving family, doing what he loved in making his famous FAFOE Tamales (Food and Family Over Everything/Faith and Family Over Everything). He didn’t see or know it was coming. He sat down at the table to slap Masa on the corn husk, looked at his phone, raised his head up and laid his head down. He didn’t feel any pain, no warning signs of his departure. Like a Rapture, it was like his soul just lifted and out of him, peacefully.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the REIMAGE CHURCH of Longview. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the Church.
