JoNan Barton's Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. JoNan Barton, age 93 of Henderson, will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Michael Carey officiating. A private graveside service for family will follow at New Prospect Cemetery in Henderson. Visitation will be Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 6pm until 8pm at Rader.
Mrs. Barton was born April 9,1929 in Rusk County and was a lifelong resident of Henderson. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Henderson. She passed away February 20, 2023 in a Longview hospital.
Mrs. Barton was proceeded in death by her husband of 59 years Billy J. Barton, parents John & Chattie Lee Mims, brother Angus Mims and granddaughter Kerri Hooker.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law Keith & Brenda Barton, daughter and son in law Cindy & Steve Hooker. Grandchildren Dr. Shane & Tammy Barton, Dee Dee & Marc Green, Clay & Sarah Hooker, Kelli & JJ Jones and Kyle Hooker. Great grandchildren Maley Green, Ethan Barton, Luke Green, Ella Grace Barton, Dylan Hooker-Juarez, Tripp Jones, Rylee Hooker and one on the way. Brother Jake Mims, sister Linda & husband Pat Adams and sister Mary Ann Furrh., a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her beloved cat Sophie was always by her side.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Clay Hooker, Kyle Hooker, Dr. Shane Barton, Ethan Barton, Marc Green and Luke Green.
