Funeral services for Jon Karl Vogel, 62, of Longview will be held at Two O'clock pm Saturday June 6, 2009 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road. Entombment will follow in Memory Park Mausoleum under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Vogel passed away Thursday June 4, 2009 in Longview.
He was born March 4, 1947 in Longview, Texas to William Charles and Dorothy Welborn Vogel. He was born and raised in Longview and an only child. He graduated from Judson High School and then attended Kilgore College before joining the Air Force where he served during the Viet Nam War.
He enjoyed bowling and golfing for hobbies.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lorraine Vogel of Longview; one daughter, Jennifer Nunley and husband Shane of Longview, granddaughters, Heather Wood, Hailiey Purdy, Mercedes Nunley, Alexis Nunley and one grandson, Cameron Nunley, dear friends, Barbara Hughes, of Albuquerque, NM and Douglas Hughes of Vinita, OK.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday June 5, 2009 from 6-8pm.
