Johnny Mack Watson's Obituary
Johnny Mack Watson was born on August 17, 1942 to Vernon Jack and Jimmie Lois Watson. He died on July 2, 2014 in Tyler, Texas. He fought a very long, hard and courageous battle with cancer. Johnny was a loving, kind and generous man, always ready to help those in need. He loved his family with all his heart and was always willing to do what he could for each and every one.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Jack Watson, and by his daughter, Sonya Watson. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 28 years, Shelia; his daughters Steffany Watson, Jayme Arnold, Kerry Ferris and son-in-law Bert Ferris; and his son Charles Watson. He is also survived by his mother, Jim Blackman; his brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Susan Watson; sister and brother-in-law Jenifer and Lowell Schrock; grandchildren Courtney, Kirsten, Lexie, Caleb, Jack, Addy, Laynee, Elijah and Paige; nieces Aubree, Summer and Tori; and nephews Luke and Heath.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Noonday Cemetery in Hallsville, Texas with Jerry Watson officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 3-5 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
