Johnnie Watts' Obituary
Funeral services for Johnnie Watts, 79, of Longview, will be 2 PM Monday in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, Longview, with Mattie Thompson officiating. Entombment will follow at Rosewood Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 8 PM.
Mr. Watts was born June 30, 1927 in Dallas, Texas to Marie and Johnnie R. Watts, who preceded him in death. Johnnie graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, Dallas, and attended Southern Methodist University. He served his country during World War II in the US Navy. An avid pilot, he enjoyed vacations, cruise ships and church activities. He was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church and the Prime Time Sunday School class. A real estate investment broker, he had many South Longview holding and retired December 2005 after 50 years due to his health.
Johnnie is survived by his wife of 26 years: Juanita; children: Kim of Austin, Kevin of Livingston and Melodie of Beckville; granddaughters: Johnnie Elaine Watts of Texarkana, TX and Jillian Doss of Gladewater; step son: Billie Davidson and wife Dayna of Hallsville; step daughter: Cindy Keith of Diana; step grandsons: Adam and Austin Davidson of Hallsville and Hunter Sandlin of Diana.
