Johnnie Frances Pitner Spader's Obituary
Johnnie Frances Pitner Spader born Sept. 26, 1925 to John and Christine Pitner at Pitner's Junction, Texas, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Sept. 3, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband E.J Spader, sisters Peggy Jo Pitner, Yvonne Jones, brother Thomas Pitner, son Dale Spader, daughter-in-law Sandy Spader and son-in-law Dana Tomlinson.
A loving Mother and Grandmother will be missed by her surviving daughters Peggy Froelich of Longview, TX. Diana Tomlinson of Conroe, TX, son Gary Spader of Tinley Park, IL, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, sister Dorothy Copper and a multitude of friends. Johnnie's love and encouragement will be missed by all who knew her.
Johnnie was an accomplished seamstress, avid reader, lover of the arts and loved to travel. She was active in her children's education always involved in PTA and youth activities. Her grandchildren traveled to many far away places with her on her magic carpet. Ever striving to enhance her education she graduated from Kilgore college L.V.N school in 1977.
Johnnie was a dedicated faithful member of First Lutheran Church in Longview for many years. A long time member of woodman of the world, she presented flags and scholarships at schools and churches in the area.
Funeral services will be held at First Lutheran Church on Saturday September 6, at 12 p.m.. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park.
Memorial donations may be made to the ramp fund of First Lutheran Church.
