Private graveside services for John R. Pankhurst, 66, of Longview, will be held Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Ten O?clock AM at the Ore City Cemetery with
Reverend Jerry Turner officiating. Burial will follow at the Ore City Cemetery
under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Pankhurst passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2005 in Longview.
He was born December 6, 1938 in Gilmer. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School. He owned AAA Custom Fence Co. in Longview.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Pankhurst; sister, Betty Barrett of Longview, TX; step-brother, Loyd Hutchison of Oklahoma; nieces, Linda Malone, Beverly Cropper and Jamye Bruyere, all of Longview, and mother-in-law, Maxine Bassham of Ore City.
Memorials may be made to East Texas Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, 708 Glencrest Ln., Longview, TX 75601 or to a charity of choice.
The family received friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM.
