John Dennis Moore's Obituary
We are saddened to announce that John Dennis Moore, of Longview, Tx. , died tragically on Oct. 8, 2016, from injuries sustained in a recent bicycle accident. John was born Oct. I, 1951, in Dallas, Tx. He was predeceased by both parents, Alvin and Marie Moore, of Pittsburg, Tx. and is survived by two sisters, Rebecca Chandler, of Dallas, Tx., and Judith Krause (Ted), of Victoria, B.C., Canada, and nephew, Trey Chandler, of Bozeman, Mt.
John was a member of the Shade Tree Fellowship on East Marshall, having found acceptance and love among the many generous hearts there. John loved Jesus. He saw God’s beautiful creations in the eyes of little children, in the golden sunset, in the turning leaves of Fall. John Moore is safely in his Daddy’s arms now.
John’s sisters would like to thank the medical staff at Good Shepherd Hospital who worked the Emergency Room the night John was admitted, the ICU staff who cared for him, and the Transition and Hospice staff who kept him comfortable until he passed. In addition, we are grateful for John’s many friends from Shade Tree who visited him faithfully while in the hospital and prayed diligently over him, especially Pastor Alan Johnson, Gary Don Holley, Casey, Kelly, Cindy, Michelle, Gina, Faye, Joe, Dee, Ron, Lynda, Royce, Bettie, Scott, Terry, Craig, his good friend “Miss Gladys” and close family friend Rosie Stierwalt, of Pittsburg, Tx. Your kindness to John will never be forgotten.
John was unfailingly optimistic. As Rosie observed, “I’ve never known anyone who faced his life’s hardships with such a big smile.” A celebration of John’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, on the grounds of Shade Tree Fellowship located at 2101 East Marshall, Longview, Tx.
