John Henry Cash's Obituary
John Henry Cash, Retired, Crown Cork & Seal and gun hobbyist, departed this world to be in Heaven, January 17th in Houston, TX. John was born in Coleman, TX to John Francis and Ella Cash on June 6, 1925. He was raised in Coleman and entered the military service in 1942. He served in the U.S. Navy receiving an honorable discharge as a Sonarman Third Class. As an Army Reservist, he was ranked as Squadron Leader before being honorably discharged. He primarily resided in Longview, Texas working at Kodak, Screw & Bolt, and retiring at Crown, Cork & Seal. John is remembered as a loving husband, a devoted father and a great friend to those who knew him. He loved his family, his friends and his friends and his guns foremost. He was best known for his witty humor and amusing character. "Always having the last word." He is survived by his son, John R. Cash and daughter-in-law Beverly June of Freeport, TX; daughter, Nancy Ellen Cash Worley and son-in-law Richard Steve Worley of North Richland Hills, TX. His grandchildren include Robert Patrick Cash and wife Patricia Jo of Lake Jackson, TX; John Harmon Cash and Yvonne of Abilene, TX; and Jennifer Leigh, Krissy Ellen, and Zachary Steven Worley of North Richland Hills, TX. Great-grandchildren are Robert Colton and Keagan Jaymie Cash of Lake Jackson, TX and Audelia Marie Cash of Abilene, TX and former wife Barbara Jane Moore of Coleman, TX. Preceding him in death, His loving wife, Elsie Bernece Cash in 1989. Family will receive guests at Leroy Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd., Longview, TX on Monday, January 20th from 5-8 p.m.. His life will be celebrated in memorial on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at 2:00 p.m.at Rader Funeral Home. Please celebrate his life with us as he celebrated life himself.
