John Willis Harrison, 82, a retired longtime resident of Diana, Texas, passed away, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, January 15 at Calvary Tabernacle, 301 East Hawkins Parkway, Longview, TX 75605, Reverend Charles Chargois will be officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview. The family will receive guests from 2:00 until 4:00, Sunday at Rader Funeral Home. John was born January 29, 1935 in Cynthia, Mississippi to Jack and Mary Harrison. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ydell Elizabeth Harrison, his 3 children, Rita Clark and her husband Robert Clark of Diana, Texas, John Willis Harrison, Jr. of Diana, Texas and Darlene Hatfield and her husband William Hatfield of Longview, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jimmy Harrison of Brandon, Mississippi and Wildon Harrison of Brandon, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Harrison, four brothers, Eddie, Jack Jr., J.C. and Douglas and two sisters, Mary Ella Harrison and Margaret (Harrison) Marchman.
