John Franklin George's Obituary
Funeral services for John Franklin George, 71, of Henderson will be held 2:00p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. Don Points officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mr. George passed away Tuesday March 18, 2014 in Henderson. He was born June 15, 1942 in Sikeston, MO to Clyde Thomas and Gladys George. John enjoyed fishing, gardening, and really loved planting trees. John was also an inspiring country and western guitar player and singer.
John George was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Howard George and his sister, Aggie George.
Survivors include his son John George, Jr. and wife Darla; son, Tommy George; brother, James George and sister, Sharon Crawford. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Cody McBride, Calvin Galey, Dakota Caldwell, John Anderson, Zack George and Walter Tarter.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night from 6-8p.m.
