Funeral services for Mr. John F. Teel, 90, of Longview will be held at Eleven O?clock AM Thursday September 18, 2003 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road with Mr. J. W. Anders and Mr. Robert Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Four PM in Cedar Creek Cemetery in Palestine under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Teel passed away Monday September 15, 2003 in Longview.
He was born September 23 1912 in Elkhart, Texas to the late Jake and Bessie Teel. He was a member of the Longview Church of Christ. He also was a lay preacher for 32 years in different communities throughout East Texas, Big Sandy, Van, Overton , Brownsboro and Sand Hill.
He is survived by his wife Margaret L. Teel of Longview, three sons and daughters-in-law, John D. and Mary Teel of Tyler, Texas; James L. and Suzanne Teel of Winter Park, Florida; Kenneth R. and Becky Teel of Palestine, Texas; grandchildren, Eric Teel, Jonathan Teel, Gibb Teel, Ron Jackson, Justin Teel, Preston Teel, Brennen Teel and Ingie Teel, four great grandchildren, one sister, Francis Peavy of Elkhart, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday September 17, 2003 from 6pm until 8 pm.
