John E. Ed Canon
Funeral services for John E. Ed Canon, 84, of Longview will be held at Two O'clock pm Tuesday February 17, 2009 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road with Darryl Stevens and Reverend David Farmer officiating. Interment will be Wednesday afternoon February 18, 2009 at Conroe Memorial Park in Conroe, Texas under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Canon passed away Sunday February 15, 2009 in Longview.
He was born January 29, 1925 in Goosecreek, Texas to Albert and Ione Stutts Canon. He was a retired Truck Driver for Sun Oil Co. and Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Canon of Longview, three sons, Paul Canon and wife Ann of Valley View, Texas, Marcus Randel Canon of Keller, Texas, Kenneth Gordon Canon and wife Kimberly of White Oak, Texas, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents .
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday February 16, 2009 from 6-8pm.
