John D. Cochran III's Obituary
Funeral services for John D. Cochran, III, 65, of Henderson will be held at 10:00am Saturday May 24, 2014 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson with John Riggs officiating. Burial will follow at Rehobeth Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Mr. Cochran passed away May 21, 2014 in Henderson. He was born in Red River Parish, La. October 27, 1948 to John “Denny” Cochran, Jr. and Aline Cochran.
He was preceded in death by his dad John Dennis “Denny” Cochran, brothers; J.D. Cochran and James Cochran, and sister Monnie Faye Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years; Gloria “Susie” Cochran of Natchitoches, La., mother; Aline Cochran of Sheveport, La., children; Tabitha & Jarell Jones of Henderson, TX, Lisa & Tony McCallum of Henderson, TX, Angie & James Lockridge of Good Springs, TX, stepchildren; Sherri & Mark Lewiston of Natchitoches, La., Carl Hary of Baton Rouge, La., Brothers; Bobby & Deloris Cochran of Saline, La., Charles Ray & Gloria Cochran of Shreveport, La., Rodney Eugene & Donna Cochran of Keithville, La., Tommy & Susie Cochran of Shreveport, La., Ronnie Cochran of Stonewall, La., half brother; George & Evelyn Cochran of Oklahoma City, OK., sister; Aline Cochran & Sonny of Kilgore, TX, half sisters; Mildred Gunnels of Henderson, TX and Evelyn Howard of Henderson, TX. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
John enjoyed all outdoor activities and watching westerns on TV. He loved gardening and spending time with family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.
Pallbearers will beChris Jones, Gabe Shelton, Wayne Cochran, Stephen Cochran, Kyle McCallum and Kody McCallum. Honorary Pallbearers are Gary McCart and Josh Hagness.
Family will receive friends from 5-8p.m. Friday.
