He was born December 15, 1929 in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania to A.J. and Ethel Bradshaw and had two brothers, Arthur and William (Art & Bill), who preceded him in death.
Jack had a tremendous sense of humor and was an extremely encouraging man of faith who loved life, family, sports (especially golf and baseball) and playing games (charades and boggle were his favorites).
He is survived by his wife Shirley and their six children – Theresa and her husband Chuck and their five children, Jack and his wife Janet and their three children, Beth and her husband Bo and their four children, twin sons Art and Bill: Art and his wife Tracy and their three children, Bill and his wife Ann and their five children and youngest son Jeff and his wife Jill and their three children.
Jack was a veteran who served his country in the Army during the Korean War as a paratrooper from 1952-1953. He grew up in Pittsburgh as an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steeler fan. He lived most of his life in Rochelle, IL and worked at Swift & Company for over 30 years. He also served as President of the Rochelle Chamber of Commerce and the Rochelle Little League Association and was also very involved in Toastmasters.
Jack’s greatest love was family. He spent much of his time after retirement attending his Grandchildren’s baseball and basketball games, school functions, and lots of other activities. He met his wife Shirley in Cleveland, OH in 1955 and they married in 1957. Their 56 years of marriage produced six children, 23 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. All of whom he was extremely proud!
