John Calvin Baker's Obituary
Graveside services for John Calvin Baker, 85 of Longview TX will be noon Wednesday November 1, 2017 at Summerfield Cemetery, 4912 Tryon Road, Longview, with Rev.Gary Schwitz officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday Oct. 31, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Rader Funeral Home, Longview, Texas.
Mr. Baker went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday October 29, 2017, after a lengthy illness. Born in Marshall, Texas to parents Marion and Jewell Taylor Baker, Mr. Baker was a lifelong resident of Longview.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years Frances Wilson Baker, their four children- Jeannie, Jane, Johnny, Jimmy and their spouses, five grand children and a number of great grand children, one brother L C Baker of Diana Texas, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers- Gilbert, Emmett, Warren, and one sister Odel Philips.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to New Journey Cumberland Presbyterian Church or charity of your choice.
