John A. Hernholm's Obituary
Funeral services for John A. Hernholm, 82, of Longview, will be Twelve Noon Saturday in the Chapel of Rader Funeral with Reverend Phillip Fenton officiating. Services under the direction of Rader Funeral Home Longview. The family will greet friends at the funeral home 5 to 7 PM Friday.
Mr. Hernholm died Wednesday afternoon in a local hospital.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, he was born July 1, 1921 and had lived in Longview since 1986 moving from Victoria, TX. He was a retired mail carrier with the US Postal Service and a member of the First Lutheran Church. Mr. Hernholm served his country during World War II with the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel Jane Hernholm; a brother: Lionel Hernholm and a sister: Thelma Barnett.
Survivors include his
son and daughter in law: Jim and Jan Hernholm of Long-view; Sister: Marguerite Lauger of Victoria, TX; Brother: Edward Q. Hernholm of Colorado Springs, Co; Grandchildren: Amanda Byers and her husband Eric of Tyler, TX, Cameron Hernholm of Atlanta, GA. And Kathryn Hernholm of Longview; Great grandson: Ethan Byers of Tyler and a number of nieces and nephews.
