Joey Comer's Obituary
Services for Joey Comer, 44, of Spring Hill will be noon Wednesday at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, 1617 Judson Rd. with Rev. Wayne Spanhanks officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park. Mr. Comer died Sunday evening at a local hospital.
A resident of Spring Hill for most of his life, Joey was born December 5, 1959 at Waco, Texas to Joe Glynn and Freddie Kay Smith Comer. He was employed as operations manager at York Pump & Equipment of Longview.
Joey was a loving husband of 22 years, a father, and family man. He was an active member of the Spring Hill First Baptist Church where he was involved with the youth groups for children and young people. He was active in the Spring Hill Dixie Youth Baseball organization serving as treasurer and commissioner. Joey was loved and respected by and was a friend to his co-workers at York Pump. He leaves many special memories to all who loved and knew him.
Survivors are: his wife Christi; sons, Jeremy Comer and Justin Comer; his daughter, Casey Comer all of Spring Hill; his parents, Joe and Freddie Kay Comer of Spring Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Chad and Sheli Comer of Mansfield, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Kim Blevins of Spring Hill; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jerry and Linda Lunsford of Spring Hill; sister-in-law and husband, Lori and James McNeese of Spring Hill; brother-in-law, Craig Lunsford of Spring Hill; nieces and nephews: Zack and Brittany Blevins, Shelby and Corben McNeese, Grace Lunsford, Apryl, Sarah and Makayla Comer.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Tuesday evening 6 to 8 PM.
