Joe Tutt's Obituary
Graveside Services for Joseph E. "Joe" Tutt will be held at 11 AM Friday, June 25, 2010 in the Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel with Mike Tutt officiating. Mr. Tutt passed away Tuesday morning in Henderson. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 PM.
Joe was born on January 29, 1921, in Longview to Tom and Pearl Tutt. He grew up on the Bramlette Estate and graduated from Judson High School in 1940. After high school, he proudly served his country in the US Navy During WWII. He was married to the love of his life, Maxine Patrick, on July 2, 1939. They would have celebrated their 71st anniversary next month. Joe lived in southern Louisiana before moving back to the Longview area in 1980. He retired from Sun Oil Company in 1982 after nearly 34 years. He was also a 60 year Mason with the Walter Lanier Lodge in Thibodeaux Louisiana and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 6 sisters and his 2 sons, Thomas Patrick Tutt and Todd Tutt.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maxine Tutt; children and their spouses, Jerrie Lane and Dan Seelbach of Henderson, Joe Michael and Patricia Tutt of Overton, and Sharon and John Moss of Union Grove; daughter-in-law, Belinda Tutt of Houston; brother, J.W. "Buck" Tutt and his wife Rosie of Dallas; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
