Joe Lee Polatti's Obituary
Services for Joe Lee Polatti, 76, of Longview will be held at Rosewood Park Mausoleum on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Polatti passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 after a short illness.
He was born in Gladewater on June 27, 1938 to Joe and Ella Polatti. He served in the US Air Force after graduating Pine Tree High School. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Pine Tree Masonic Lodge. He worked for Sears for over 40 years. He knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. In 1961 he married Pansy Evelyn Howard of Bright Star, Arkansas. They had one son Gaylon Joe Polatti of Woodside, California. After Pansy’s death in 2001, he married Glenda Harris of Kilgore. In addition to Glenda and Gaylon, he is survived by Robert Emery Smith, Ronan and Jeannie O’Hanlon, Gary Harris, Eddie Wells, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother Frank Carl Polatti, sister-in-law Sherri Harris Gaudet and his parents.
