Joe Curtis Pinkston's Obituary
Joe Curtis Pinkston finished his last project on Monday, July 24, 2023 at the age of 65. His absence has left a void that no words can fill, but his love and laughter will always live on in our memories.
Joe was so proud to be the son of Curtis and Zuetta Pinkston and a brother to Sue and Frank. Growing up Joe and Frank would ride unicycles just about everywhere. If their mom sent them to the store, Joe would ride on Frank’s shoulders carrying the milk and bread.
From a young age, Joe's ability to see the world differently set him apart. He was born with an infectious laugh, a quick wit, and a mind bursting with wild and wonderful ideas. These qualities shaped his passions and career. Through his life he raced cars, designed and built one-of-a-kind hot rods and homes, and even built props for film and television. No project was too big or too difficult. Impossible was a welcomed challenge.
Joe’s family and friends were his most treasured possession. He lived by the saying “Never love anything that can’t love you back”.
In 2008 he married the love of his life, Angie, at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. Joe was always quick to brag about her and how much he enjoyed their life together.
Joe is survived by his wife Angie, his daughter Tina, son Curtis and his wife Jennifer. He considered Angie’s son Tim as his own. He loved every moment with his grandchildren Devon, Devin, Caden, Grace, and Grant.
He is also survived by his sister Sue who frequently told him that he got all the brains and she got all the beauty.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Frank.
