Joe Louis Pate's Obituary
Graveside services for Joe Louis Pate, 85, of Lake Cherokee will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2017 at Rosewood Park. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mr. Pate was born January 12, 1932 in Lamesa, TX and passed away October 4, 2017 at his longtime residence on Lake Cherokee. He was raised in West Texas and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was 1 of 6 children born to the late Oscar Pate and Carrie Barker Pate. He retired in the late 90’s after many years with Dresser Rand, formerly Ingersol Rand.
He is survived by his children, Diane Gray and husband James of Sweetwater, TX, Craig Pate of Streetman, TX and Steve Pate and wife Lucy of Casper, WY; five grandchildren; sister, Letha Nixon of Wolfforth, TX; and companion and longtime friend, Marsha Haynes of Ozark, AR.
