Joe Houston Davidson's Obituary
Funeral services for Joe Houston Davidson, 87, of Longview, will be 10 AM Saturday, September 25, 2004, at the First Assembley of God Church with Reverend Randy Carter and Reverend Taylor officiating.
Mr. Davidson was born September 3, 1917 in Rock Hill, Texas to Joseph and Carrie Davidson. He had lived in Longview since 1947 coming from Shreveport, Louisiana.
Joe passed away Thursday morning at a local medical center.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God church and worked as a shop foreman for an oil company.
The family will receive friends at
Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd., Friday evening from 6-8 PM.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bernice and Glassell Davidson and a grandson, Daniel Rae.
He is surived by his wife of 66 years, Louise Davidson of Longview; children and their spouses, Shirley & Billy Freeman of Hallsville, Joe and Trudy Davidson of Greenville, TX, Peggy Davidson of Longview, Kathy and Wesley McDaniel of Texarkana, Arkansas; brother, Travis Neal and Hazel Davidson of Beckville, Texas; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
