Joe Larry Gable's Obituary
Funeral services for Joe Gable, 70, of Henderson will be held at 2pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview on Friday, February 3, 2017. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2 from 6pm to 8pm. Joe passed in the early hours of the morning of Monday, January 30.
Joe was born in Longview Texas on March 24, 1946 to parents Troy and Mary Gable. Following high school, Joe served our country faithfully in the US Army as an artilleryman during the Vietnam War. In his later life, Joe could be seen very often fishing in the lakes of East Texas, and putting on spectacular fireworks shows for his family. In addition to the friends he made on lakes, Joe could be found playing dominos every Monday.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Mary Gable. Those left to cherish their memories of Joe include his wife, Celesta Ellis; his sons, Joe Allen Gable and his wife Joy Gable, and John Gable; as well as 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, his brother, Jerry Gable and his sister Judy Gable Leak; Joe will also be remember by his numerous extended family and friends.
