Joe Adams' Obituary
Funeral services for Joe L. Adams, 80, of Longview will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Woodland Hills at Mason Creek with Reverend Charles Hunt and Ted White. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park.
Joe was born July 6, 1938 in Iowa Park, TX and later moved to Carthage, TX. After graduating high school, he joined the Navy in September 1956 and was on active duty until 1960. He then served in the National Guard, where he was honorably discharged on April 1962.
He met and married Reba Adams on April 30, 1960. Joe worked as a Production assistant in Epolene at Texas Eastman and retired after 36 years. Joe loved to go and travel. He was always ready to hook up the fifth wheel camper to his beloved ford truck where he and Reba traveled with good friends all over the Western United States.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Reba Adams, son, Joey Adams and wife Debbie, and his daughter, Kristi Adams Walker. Joe had four grandchildren; Lindsey Menchue and husband Chris, Jeremy Adams and wife Cassie, Nathan Walker and Logan Walker. He also had 5 great grandchildren; Carlee, Makayla, Kason, Korbin and Kenzie.
Friends are welcome for a time of viewing on February 12, from 6 to 8 pm in the evening at Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
