Joanne R. Martinez's Obituary
Joanne Martinez, 73 went home to be with our heavenly Father on May 1, 2020 in Longview, Texas.
Joanne was born to the late Jose and Jennie Rivera in Raton, New Mexico. She married the late, Ruben Valle and was blessed with five children:
Rachel Orona, Longview, Texas, Marsha Ortiz, Fort Worth, Texas, Denise Frazier, Tyler, Texas, Ruben Valle, Longview, Texas, Steven Valle, Longview, Texas..
Joanne resided in San Antonio, Texas then relocated to North Platte, Nebraska. In 1984 she returned to Texas where she lived her remaining years. Joanne was proceeded in death by her parents and Brothers, Ray Rivera, Ramey Rivera, Lee Rivera and Roy Rivera and Sisters, Debra Rivera and Isabelle Valle. Joanne is survived by her Brothers, Joe Rivera, Thomas Valdez, Gilbert Rivera and Sisters, Mary Ann Castro, Lily Rojas, Josephine Dimmick and Gloria (Gina) LaRue.
Also, survived are her Grandchildren Natisha Valle, Sergio Orona, Jasmine Orona, Adrianna Orona, Jesus Orona, Michelle Arriola, Miguel Morales Jr., Marco Morales, Mario Morales, Mayra Molina, Jeremy Valle, Tyler Echols, Valerie Valle and Vanessa Valle, Devin Valle and Ashton Valle. Joanne was also the Great Grandmother to 26 great grandchildren along with one on the way. She also had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family that impacted her life and that she adored tremendously.
Joanne was a kind, caring, and compassionate woman who always put others before herself. She welcomed everyone and anyone with open arms and made them feel as they were part of the family. She volunteered for many years, at the Samaritan House in Tatum, Texas. She loved the music of Elvis and Freddy Fender. She had a passion for doing word searches and watching The Walking Dead. Joanne always had a smile on her face and a joke to say.
Joanne was very proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Joanne will be truly missed by all her loving family. Heaven gained a beautiful angel, Till We Meet Again.
