JoAnn Branch Ford was born October 14, 1936, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Barnie Redford and Mary Alice Branch. In 1940, JoAnn and her beloved brother, Barney, moved with their mother to Longview. She graduated from Longview High Read Obituary
Jo Ann and I were long-time friends, beginning when we were children. We attended the Cumberland Presbyterian Church on the corner of S. Green and Radio Streets, Longview, TX. She, her mother, and Barney (we called him Bubba), lived close to the W.E. Jones family on S. Green Street. We were classmates in school, graduating in 1954 from Longview High School. I visited with her several months ago and did not know of her passing until a fellow classmate saw the obituary in Facebook. I was planning on visiting with her again soon. I wish I had know earlier about her passing. We share so many memories. I have prayed for her every day for years and did so this morning, not knowing about her passing. My condolences are offered to Barney and her children. God bless to all.
