Joanie Forga's Obituary
Joanie was born Myra Joan Bledsoe, on august 31, 1944. She shared her Mother’s Birthday.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kathy and Dewey, her siblings, Robert, Virgil, And Ronnie, and her children oldest daughter Courtney, oldest son Rusty, And youngest daughter Kathy, her great granddaughter Aniston Valle, and her daughter-in-law LeaAnn.
She was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church where she attended faithfully until her illness no longer allowed her to.
She was a nurse by profession and worked for Internal Medicine of Longview many years.
She was also employed by LISD and served as Longview High School nurse until 2005 when she lost her arm in a car accident. She loved being a nurse and caring for others.
Joanie—Granny—to most was a generous woman who raised more than her own and gave to others anytime there was a need and she had the ability to fulfill it.
She joined her children in heaven on February 9, 2019, where she will spend eternity with her Savior free of pain and in perfect peace.
She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Edwards and son-in-law William, grandsons, Will, Jake, and Ben, her son Jon Williams and granddaughter Whitney Valle, and grandson Jonathan Williams, granddaughters Bridgit Carlisle and Holly Nicholson, and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by Ray Williams whom she loved until her last breath and called “Papa.”
Visitation with the family will be at Rader Funeral Home of Longview on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 6-8pm. Her funeral will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 13, at 10:00 a.m. with Ryan Carlisle, her grandson-in-law officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park next to her children.
