Jo Carole McFarland's Obituary
A memorial service for Jo Carole Rogers McFarland, 79, of Longview will be held at 1 PM Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Elmira Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Dr. James Cantey officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral home of Longview. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, Texas.
Mrs. McFarland was born on May 28, 1937, in Gilmer, TX to Horace and Mary Belle Rogers. She worked for Texas Instruments for several years as well as selling Tupperware and worked at Dillard’s for many years later in her career. Jo loved shopping and loved being flawlessly dressed. She loved life and loved her family. She will be remembered as always being a loyal friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hines; her parents; and her niece, Mary Carole Heckaman.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Mary Rogers Green; her brother, Micky F. Rogers and his wife Mary Nan; her nephews Rusty Green and his wife Katie, Todd Rogers and his wife Cindy, Austin Green, Riley Heckaman, Zachary Rogers, and Joshua Rogers; her niece, Deanna Green; and numerous cousins.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donation be made to Elmira Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3501 Elmira Dr, Longview, TX 75605.
