Jo Lee Smith's Obituary
Funeral services for Jo Lee Smith, 102, of Longview, will be 2 PM Friday, February 4, 2005 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd., with Reverend Gary W. Frederick and Reverend Bill Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery.
Jo Lee Smith, a member of a Texas pioneer family, was born July 11, 1902 in Bell County near Temple, TX, to Robert Edward and Malinda Rachel Wallace Lee.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a charter member of the Turner Sunday School Class, and a homemaker.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, from 6-8 PM. .
Mrs. Smith is survived by sons, Claude W. Smith and Robert Lee Smith, both of Longview; daughter, Pat McGuffin of Longview; special grandchild, Donna Leigh Ward of Longview, other grandchildren, Judy Frederick of Austin, Michael McGuffin of Longview, Susan Wallace of Longview, Peggy Vaughan of Longview, Larry McGuffin of Dallas and Kelly Lugar of Arlington, VA ; nephews, Hadley Hendrick of Oxnard, CA and Eric Posey of Lubbock, TX.
Mrs. Smith was also blessed with 11 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Vaughan, Michael Frederick, Robert Frederick, Larry McGuffin, Russell Ward, and Brian McGuffin;
Honorary Pallbearers are Mike McGuffin, David Johnson and Steve Hutson.
