Jo Lacy Poteet's Obituary
Funeral services for Jo Lacy Poteet, 82, of Longview, will be 11 AM Saturday, January 28, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview, with Reverend Charles Barham officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM Friday.
Mrs. Poteet went to be with her Lord Wednesday afternoon at Beacon Hospice Margaret's House.
A native of Caddo Mills, she was born January 5, 1930. Jo was a homemaker and a member of the Mobberly Baptist church. Mrs. Poteet was an active member of the Ladies Auxillary of Fleet Reserve Association and served as Regional President from 1999 to 2000.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank M and Maggie Bragg Lacy, brother, Floyd Lacy and a niece Linda Lacy Johnson. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Troy N. Poteet of Longview, son, Dennis McCarty and wife Mary of Kirby, Arkansas, daughter, Nancy Taylor of Longview, grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua and Jon McCarty, Jessica McCarty Johnson, Avery Wright, Laura Elizabeth Dickerson and Sarah Kathryn Dickerson and 5 great grandchildren.
Pall Bearers will be Dennis McCarty, Jeremy McCarty, Joshua McCarty, Steve Dickerson, James Taylor, Jeff Martin, and Ryan Pursley.
