Funeral services for Jo Evelyn Hanson, 60, of Longview will be held at 4 PM Saturday, July 19, 2003 at the Mobberly Baptist Church with the Reverend Scott Shulik officiating. Interment will be in Rosewood Park under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She passed away Thursday, July 17, 2003, in a Longview hospital. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 PM Friday, July 18, at the funeral home. Mrs. Hanson was born July 4, 1943 in Orange, Texas, and had been a resident of Longview for the past 25 years. She obtained her Masters of Education from Stephen F. Austin State University, graduating summa cum laude and was a teacher in the Pine Tree I. S. D. for the past 25 years. She was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church, where she sang in the Praise Singers, and the P.O.P.?s choir. She was also a member of the Bible Study Fellowship BSF. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, D. L. Hanson; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa-Marie and Ray Listenbee of Tyler; son Eddie Dwain Hanson of Tyler; mother, Nona Laughlin of Odessa; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Charlene Laughlin of Midland; and nieces, Laura Rooker, Mary Lee Pyle, and Julia Ogden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mobberly Baptist Church Music Program, 625 E. Loop 281, Longview, Texas 75605.
