Jimmy R. Vinson's Obituary
Funeral services for Jimmy R. Vinson, age 77, of Henderson will be held
Thursday May 24, 2007 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson with Dr. Greg Johnson and Rev. Robert Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Crims Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Vinson passed away Tuesday May 22, at his residence.
Mr. Vinson was born February 8, 1930 in Henderson and was a lifelong resident. He was retired from the maintenance department at Henderson Memorial Hospital, He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henderson. He was a veteran of The Korean War having served in the. U.S. Army, where he was awarded the Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Maurine Vinson
Sisters Doris Wagenman, Evelyn Konchek, and brother Douglas Vinson
Survivors include his wife Jo Turner Vinson of Henderson, sons Max Vinson and wife Terri of Henderson, Neal Vinson and wife Lori of Henderson. Brothers Billy Gene Vinson and wife Joyce of Montgomery,
Roy Vinson and wife Tommie of Henderson. Sister Eva Jo Trammell of Henderson. 8 Grandchildren Kristin Odom and husband George, Turner Vinson, Jason Vinson, Lance Vinson, Randi Vinson, Jami Holland, Jaylan Holland, and Joni Hodges
Pallbearers will be Steve Davis, Melvin Minter, George Odom, Jason Vinson, Lance Vinson, James Wade, Dana Vinson, and Dodd Vinson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ervin Daugherty, Byron Deason, Lloyd Smith,
Reagan Wofford Bill Hunt and Orion Stroud
The family will meet friends from 6 ? 8PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
