Jimmy Homer Hankins' Obituary
A memorial service for Jimmy Homer Hankins, 61, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Thursday, January 5, 2012 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Chaplain Don Ross officiating. Mr. Hankins died at home surrounded by his family on January 2, 2012 after a strong battle with cancer. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Jimmy was born in Eunice, NM on September 11, 1950 to Bill and Juanita Hankins. Jimmy loved spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, dad, papa, and friend. He also enjoyed his career in the oil field. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend, Glenda Hankins; daughter and son-n-law, Angie and Matt Axtell of Royce City, TX; daughter, Veronica Hankins and Albert Esquivel of Longview, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Ron Gage of Longview; brother and sister-in-law, John and Sue Hankins of Kerrville, TX; grandchildren Alyssa Axtell, Dylan Axtell and Macie Axtell of Royce City; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
