Jimmy Cox's Obituary
Jimmy Cox was born on March 3, 1949 and passed away on October 14, 2023. Jimmy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, having get-togethers, playing card games, and listening to old music. He loved deer hunting, duck hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with others and teaching them how to hunt and fish. His relationship with God was important. He was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Jimmy served in the Marines and was a proud Vietnam Veteran.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Juanita Peace, his wife Bonnie Cox, Brother Billy Cox and sisters, Donna Tennis and Jeanette Coleman. He is survived by his Sons, Jimmy G. Cox, Jr., Donald Cox and wife Windy, Corey Cox and wife Mandi and Thomas Cox and wife Ami. His daughters, Tina English and husband Joe and Betsy Cox. He is also survived by his brothers; Glenn, James, Elven and Michael Peace, Brian Lee and Billy Taylor, as well as 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a private family celebration of life for Jimmy Held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
