Jimmie Sue Stansell's Obituary
Services for Jimmie Sue Stansell, 79, of Longview will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow in Memory Park Cemetery. Ms. Stansell passed away Thursday night in Tyler. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Jimmie was born on October 3, 1930 in Saline, LA to Jim and Clara Barbers. They moved to Longview and she attended Pine Tree Schools and graduated in 1947. She was married to Hershel E. Stansell in 1948. Jimmie worked for Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator for many years. In her retirement, her passions were sewing, fishing, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Lynda Simpkins of Tyler, Gwynda Stribble of Lindale, and Dawn Robertson of Longview; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
