Funeral services for Jimmie Rae Pennington, 70, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Dick Stagner officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Justin Cemetery, Justin, Texas. He passed away Thursday, April 20, at the VA hospital in Shreveport.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Pennington was born December 5, 1935, in Justin to John Henry and Gladys Francis Pennington. He was a retired maintenance worker for the McDonald?s Restaurants in Longview. He was an avid coon hunter and a lover of animals and a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp.
Those left to cherish his memory are his former wife and companion, Ruby Wilson of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, James and Bobbie Pennington of Longview; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Charles Lidster of Denton, Rebecca and Rob Dent of Longview, and Mandy and Chad Wright of Longview; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Virgil Pennington, Jackie Pennington and Gerald Pennington; sisters, Alma Driver and Ann Hall; and several nieces and nephews.
