Jim Bluethman's Obituary
Services for Jim Bluethman , 70, of Longview will be 2 PM Thursday, January 16th at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, 1617 Judson Rd. with Rev. Phil Jones officiating. Mr. Bluethman died Monday, January 13th at a Longview hospital.
He was born April 8, 1932 in Chicago to Ernest and Mildred Wood Bluethman. A former resident of Pomona, California, he had resided in Longview for 31 years. Mr. Bluethman was a long time employee of Cobb Industries in Marshall and was retired from Samuel Strapping in Longview. He had served with both the United States Army and Navy.
Jim was a devoted husband and father and he loved sports. He was an avid golfer and fisherman had been a Little League Baseball coach and former Boy Scouts of America troop leader.
Mr. Bluethman is survived by his wife, Sandy of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Foster Francis of Dallas; son, Scott Bluethman of Plano; daughter, Keli Bluethman of Longview; Son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Debbie Bluethman of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; and son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Kathy Bluethman of Lake Tahoe. Also surviving are grandchildren, Slater Braddock and Brittany and Lindsey Bluethman and brother Jack Bluethman of Chino, California.
