Jewel Ferguson of Longview, Texas, wife of Rev. D.E. Ferguson, passed away on Tuesday, September 4 at 9:45pm. She was 96 years old. Visitation will be on Friday, September 7 from 6:00-8:00pm at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Roa Read Obituary

Having been fortunate to have been brought up in First Assembly in Longview, I always felt as if I were part of the Ferguson family. I have such warm and loving memories of a wonderful, kind, genuine and loving Christian lady. Sister Ferguson will be missed by her family, but they were so lucky to have had her for so many years. Dear Muriel, James, Doyle, Wayne, and Jean,
Your family has been an important part of my life since I was born, and Muriel was my first friend and playmate. I wish I could be there with you. All of us have such fond memories of your mother.
You mentioned the things she cooked in the obituary, I also remember that she cooked wonderful roasts which I enjoyed on the Sundays I went home with Muriel.
Her kind, loving, and gentle patience are some of her many attributes which I recall.
