Jessie Marie McBride's Obituary
Services for Jessie Marie Hebel McBride, 85, will be at 10 AM Wednesday, October 22, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Dr. Tim Watson officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Entombment will follow in Memory Park Mausoleum. Mrs. McBride passed away Saturday evening in Plano, Texas. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Marie was born on October 2, 1923 in Matagorda County, Texas to Herbert and Clara Mae Standley Hebel. She was a clerical professional, seamstress, and writer. Marie was married on December 1, 1942 to her loving husband, Walter Charles McBride, for 65 years. They were members of First Baptist Church in Longview.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband Walter, her parents; her son, Paul Lewis McBride; 2 grandchildren; 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Michele Denise and Robert Wakeman of Plano; daughter-in-law Alice Trice McBride, 1 brother, Herbert J. Hebel; 4 sisters, Della Morgan, Barbara Ford, Elva Mae Riley, and Sandra Newman; 2 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
