Jessie Evelyn Ashby's Obituary
Graveside services for Jessie Evelyn Ashby, 89, of Henderson, are set for 10:30 AM Monday, January 14, 2008, at the Duncan Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Ricks officiating.
Burial will follow in Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Miss Ashby died Friday, January 11. 2008, at the Henderson Memorial Hospital.
She was born August 28, 1918 in the Good Springs Community in Rusk County to Willie and Emmie Ashby. She was a Methodist and was a retired operator for Western Union and had also worked at the Holiday Inn.
Miss Ashby was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alex Ashby and M.W. Ashby; sisters, Bessie Lou Ashby and Clara Moores.
Surviving is Nephews, Mike Moores and wife Merry of Henderson, Mark Ashby and wife Linda of Dayton, Tx, Alan Ashby and wife Bonita of Toledo, Ohio; nieces, Linda Soape and husband Billy of Henderson, and Judy Lewis of Henderson; great nieces and nephews; Michael Moores and wife Lori of Henderson, Maura Beard and husband Mitch of Whitehouse, Scott Lewis and wife Amy of Henderson, Michael Lewis and wife of Humble, Lanell Blaylock and husband Boyd of Whitehouse, Melinda Orr and husband Carl of Brachfield, Matt Ashby and wife Carmen, Michael Ashby, Stephen Ashby, and Mark Christopher Ashby, all of Dayton, TX.
The family will greet friends at the cemetery from 10 to 10:30 AM Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 204 North Marshall, Henderson, TX 75652.
