Jessie David Bridges' Obituary
Jessie David Bridges, Jr. , 80, died Monday February 17th in Longview after a Lengthy illness. Mr. Bridges was born October 22, 1922 in Hollywood, Arkansas, later moving to Dallas where he worked for North American Aviation during the war and met his wife of 60 years, Rose Marie Bridges. They moved to Longview in 1945 where he started a career with Sears that spanned 39 years and included working at all three Longview locations.
Mr. Bridges was a longtime member of the First Methodist Church and 32nd Degree Mason, belonging to Lodge 1168 in Dallas since the age of twenty-one.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and four sisters. He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Bridges, son James David Bridges and his wife Terrye of Longview, daughter Cynthia Ann Keasler and her husband Sam of Douglas, Ga., stepson Bill Huguley of Kilgore, four grandchildren: David Bridges of Longview, Jamie Swisher of Longview, Dustin Keasler of Flaler Beach. Fla., and Darrell Keasler of Douglas, Ga., two great grandsons, Zack Simons and Jesse Keasler.
Graveside services will be 10 AM Thursday, February 20th at Lakeview Cemetery with Bill Cunningham officiating. The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd. Wednesday evening 6 to 8 PM. You may sign the online guest memorial book at www.raderfh.com.
