J.S. Molina, Sr.
Rosary for Jesse Salvador Molina, Sr., will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 at St. Anthony?s Catholic Church, 508 6th Street. Internment will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 on Monday evening at Rader Funeral Home.
Jesse was born in Houston, Texas on December 2, 1920 and died at Good Shepherd Medical Center on September 22, 2005. He was a World War II veteran who served in the European theater. While stationed in Washington, D.C., he met his future wife, Nieves Mendiola of Longview. They married on May 27, 1943. In 1946 they moved to Longview with their infant son. In the following years, he owned and operated Molina Signs and Molina Discoteca. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the VFW and a former member of the Longview Jaycees.
He is survived by his wife, Nieves, son and daughter-in-law, Jesse, Jr. and Carol of Longview; granddaughters and their husbands Michele and Scott Stalnaker of Longview and Nicole and Shawn Thomas of Tyler; and great-grandchildren Zac Stalnaker and Morgan and Lauren Thomas. Two brothers and five sisters also survive him.
Memorials may be made to St. Anthony?s Church.
