Funeral services for Jesse D. Wilson, Jr., 83, of Longview will be at 2 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2005 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with the Reverend Jeff Croley and Reverend David Lawson officiating. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Park?s Chapel Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the funeral home.
Mr. Wilson was born on April 4, 1921 in Stowell, Texas to Jesse D., Sr., and Christina Schwarz Wilson. He passed away on Sunday afternoon, March 6, 2005 at his residence.
Mr. Wilson was a graduate of Lamar College. He served his country as a 1st Lt. with the ARMY Air Corp. where he was a flight instructor. He was a Shriner, a Mason, and avid fisherman and a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lorena Chancey Wilson of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Richard Hebert of Beaumont; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Gail Wilson of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren, and a host of friends.
