Jerry Works' Obituary
Jerry Works, 64, of Longview passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2002. He was a graduate of Longview High School, then served in the U.S. Navy and later
graduated from Kilgore College. Jerry married Mary Ann Carmichael on January 16, 1959. He worked for Texas Eastman for 15 years then was co-owner of Boswork Distributors until he retired in 1988. Jerry was loved by all who knew him and his sense of humor brought smiles to faces young and old. He will be dearly missed.
Mr. Works is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Works of Longview; three children, Randy and wife Kim Works of Longview, Tim and wife, Shirley Works of Longview and Laura and husband, Daniel Jordan of Plano; parents, Claude and Mildred Works, brother; Phil and wife, Bettye Works of Longview; grandchildren, Kelly Works, Jeremy and wife, Kim Cotton, Keith Cotton, Jake Moore and great-grandchild, Kaylen Works and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Robert Hollaway, Bob Baldwin, Bill Baxter, Stan Miller, Lewis Orms and Joel Howard.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, August 16, 2002 from 6-8 PM.
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd., Saturday, August 17, 2002 at 10 AM with Reverend Tom Roberson and Reverend Sam Dickens officiating.
Interment will follow in Rosewood Park .
