Jerry Wayne Welty Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Welty, 63, of Liberty City, will be held at 10 AM Saturday, September 9, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend David Lindwall officiating. Burial will follow Read Obituary
I was very sad to here about Jerry. I was a schoolmate and graduated with him. He was considered a close friend and was a outstanding basketball, football player. I know God has a special place for him.

Special condolences to you as you face the loss of your wonderful, precious husband and dad. It was my privilege to have known all of you through the Longview Public School System. Having had you, Julie and Janice, in my classes at Judson, made my time as your teacher, very fulfilling. Jill, knowing you and Jerry as colleagues meant more to me than you can imagine. I tresure all the wonderful thoughts I have from those teaching days.
I lost my mother to the same cruel disease that overwhelmed the life of your precious loved one, and hope in some way I have an understanding of what all of you and Jerry faced.
We know that God is good and now has Jerry wrapped in his wings of love, giving him back his good mind and strong body as he looks down upon all of you with love.
Please let me hear from you, Julie and Janice, so I can know your location at the present time.
