I worked for Dr. Cotner for a couple of years, I have some very fond memories of him and will always love and respect him. My daughter was age 5-7 when I was there and my fondest memory is of her calling him Papa Cotner. We were at the San Antonio Zoo during feeding time for the alligators, she pops her thumb out her mouth and says Papa Cotner needs to get his gun and come shoot these alligators. Or when she was sick and I was working, she would curl up in his office on his couch and sleep and Dr Cotner said she looked like a little kitten curled up. Dr Cotner loved the pictures she would draw for him and always give her a little present from his office. At our Christmas party she was upset because we were exchanging presents for the office and didn't get one. Dr Cotner wrote a special message on a card and slipped some money in it and told her to buy herself something from him. She has always remembered him as Papa Cotner and even to this day, she remembers him coaxing her out from under the table. I just remember him fondly and he always treated his patients with care. Rest now Papa Cotner, Liz, Katie and David.
