Jennie Lee Bissell Dickinson
Funeral services for Jennie Lee Bissell Dickinson, 70, of Longview will be held at 12 Noon, Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at Winterfield United Methodist Church with the Reverend Ed Barlow officiating under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. She died Friday, May 24, in a Longview hospital. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 PM Monday, May 27, at the funeral home. Mrs. Dickinson was born July 2, 1931 in Chickasha, Oklahoma and had been a resident of Longview since 1971, and was a former resident of Marshall. She was a retired customer service manager for the Federal Government. She was a very active member of the Winterfield United Methodist Church where she was former president of the U.M.W. and the Crafter?s Guild. She was also a substitute Sunday school teacher, a member of the Missionary Board, and was active in Bible Study Fellowship. Survivors include her children, Bonnie and Richard Ferguson of Longview, Dixie and Randy Blaylock of Denver, CO., John and Janet Bissell of Duluth MN., and Paula and John Jacques of Rowlett, TX.; grandchildren, Marc Sellers, Kristen, John, and Joel Ferguson, Chris and April Blaylock, Jennie and Jordan Bissell, and Lydia and Melissa Jacques; great granddaughter, Marla Shifflett; brother, Reverend Lewis Stokes of Kemp; sister, Mollie Mitchell of Cedar Hill; and Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the U.M.W. Missions Fund of the Winterfield United Methodist Church, 2616 Tryon Rd., Longview, Texas, 75605.
