Diane Smith
Lisa, My name is Diane Smith. My husband, Timothy Odell Smith, and I live in Oakboro, North Carolina. My father-in-law, Gurnie, and Elmer were cousins. Gurnie and Dorothy, his wife, visited Elmer and Inez several times when they lived in Florida and when they moved to Georgia. Elmer and Inez would also visit here in North Carolina and stay with Gurnie and Dorothy.
Another cousin, Geneva Foreman, has been asking about Elmer and Inez and I was sad to see where they too had passed away.
Dorothy died in July of 2010 and Gurnie died a month later in August.
I am very sorry to see Jeff passed away earlier this year. I know this had to have been hard for Elmer. It was hard when Paulette died.
Gurnie and Dorothy went to Paulette's wedding in Arizona. I think it was in 1977. Our first child, Michael, was born in May of that year.
We will probably never meet and that's okay. We wanted to offer our condolences. I'm sure by reading his obituary he was a fine man
