Jeffrey Don Hooker's Obituary
Jeffrey Don Hooker of Longview passed away peacefully at home and went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 3, 2023, at the age of 52.
Jeffrey was born on October 5, 1970, to Pike and Nancy Hooker in Longview, Texas. He attended and graduated from Hallsville High School in 1990. After graduating, Jeffrey worked three years for Winn Dixie until the store closed. Within a few weeks Jeffrey began working for Kroger, where he worked for twenty-one years before retiring in 2022. After retiring, Jeffrey spent his time visiting his heroes (the Longview Fire Department), reading at Books-a-Million, playing with his many cats, playing Monster Jam on his computer, and listening to his music. His favorite activities involved family gatherings on birthdays and holidays.
Jeffrey leaves behind his parents, Nancy and Pike, his brother Jonathan and wife Amy and son Aiden, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and a host of friends.
Jeffrey gave his heart to Jesus at the age of fourteen at Macedonia Baptist Church. Upon his death he was attending Trail’s End Church in Hallsville. Over the years he had enjoyed various mission trips, Jesus Burger, and Men’s Prayer Breakfast at Trail’s End. Jeffrey was a faithful follower of Jesus, and he boldly shared his faith with his friends.
In lieu of flowers, Jeff and his family would appreciate donations to First Responders or any organization which promotes the spread of the Gospel.
